Bear and Friends: Forest Learn and Play

Service Description

For Participants Ages 3-8 Time: 1:00-3:00 Instructor: Trisha Sanner, Erin Baker, Heather Martin Inspired by the book series Bear Snores On, we will find adventure and discover new things in the forest just like bear and his friends! This class will offer a variety of creative and playful activities for kids to engage in while bonding and playing outdoors. While offering focused activities, story-time and crafts, the focus of our time outdoors will be deep play --- where kids will be encouraged to use their imagination and immerse themselves in constructive play together with peers. Guided deep play helps children and develop their imagination and their relationships with their peers while exploring and discovering the world around them. Join us as we discover and grow together in the forest! ***Because of the multi-activity nature of this class it is appropriate for all ages --- especially those that will benefit from group led and child led play activities. No academic skills are required. This class will be held outdoor in most weather conditions including light rain. Indoor facilities will be available for inclement weather. Participants should be prepared to use rustic bathroom facilities. Parent's should plan to accompany their children to this program unless arrangements have been made otherwise.
