Service Description

Participants Ages 12+ Time: 10:00-11:00 Instructor: Rachel Klemmer, Erin Baker There are so many ways that you can make the world a better place right here in our community! Each week we will invite a different speaker to come and join us and share all about the work that they do to make our community a better place. Kids and Teens will get to learn about organizations that feed the needy, house the homeless, and help people with disabilities right here in our local community. They will get to know what motivated each of our guest speakers to get involved with their different organizations and learn about the ways in which they can help in their local community too. ***The purpose of this class is to talk about community engagement and learn about getting involved with different organizations and causes that you are passionate about. We will strive to make sure this class avoids politically heated or religious topics (even though some participating organizations my have religious affiliations) so that all feel welcome to participate. ***
