Classroom Detectives: Mock Trial

Service Description

For Participants Ages 12+ Time: 11:00-12:00 Instructor: Erin Baker, Rachel Klemmer A class experience all about justice in two parts: --- In the first part we will be examining famous cold cases and using our powers of persuasion, debate, and deductive reasoning to argue and determine findings to finally solve each case. Students will hone their skills in research, public speaking and debate. --- In the second half of our class we will be cast in different roles to assemble a case and argue for it's out come. Students will practice forming and writing persuasive arguments and delivering them for a small courtroom crowd as well as learning about legal proceedings, and courtroom etiquette and procedure. All participants will be required to attend our Trial on May 26th. Parents are invited to come and participate and see what their kids have put together!
