Service Description

Participants Ages 12+ Time: 1:00-2:30 Instructor: Amanda Funk with Widoktadwen Center Explore this land’s First Foods through this Indigenous culinary experience! Together we’ll cook up some Indigenous meals that celebrate this land’s original kitchen ingredients and culinary creativity. Featuring a mix of traditional recipes and modern interpretations of old classics, we’ll feature several “first foods” and highlight non-traditional Native pantry items and seasonings in our practice. We are thrilled to be partnering with the Widoktadwen Center for Native Knowledge to provide this class and others like to deepen our understanding and connection to our indigenous culture. Reading Level Required - Some reading required Activity Level - This a focused class with some physical activity. Students should be prepared to listen to detailed instructions and do focused activities.
