Poetry Writing and Analysis

Service Description

For Participants Ages 12+ Time: 1:00-1:50 Instructor: Jen Capone This class explores the art of poetry through both reading and writing. Students will study a variety of poems from different cultures, time periods, and styles while learning how poets use language, imagery, rhythm, and sound to express ideas and emotions. Through discussion and analysis, students will examine poetic devices such as metaphor, simile, symbolism, rhyme, and meter. In addition to analyzing poems, students will develop their own creative voices by writing original poetry.
