Service Description
For Participants Ages 9+ Time: 10:00-11:00 Instructor: Amanda Funk of Widoktadwen Center Become an eco-designer and help your community! In this hands-on class, students will learn the science and art of designing a beautiful and functional rain garden. Discover how to solve real-world problems by managing storm-water runoff, choosing the best native plants, and creating a natural filtration system that protects local waterways. You'll cover site analysis, design principles, and how to create a blueprint for a green solution! Our final project will be the installation of a rain garden. *Come prepared to spend at least part of class time outside. Dress for the weather and wear solid footwear. **Students should be capable of staying with the group and following basic safety rules.
